The people in the room
Tutorly was started by a teacher who wanted every student to get the attention she couldn't give in a class of thirty. Our tutors share that belief.
From one classroom to a centre on Elm Street
After nine years teaching middle-school math, Maria noticed the same thing every year: the students who fell behind in September were rarely the ones who couldn't do it. They just needed someone to slow down and listen.
She started Tutorly in 2016 with one room, one whiteboard and a rule that still holds today: never more than four students per tutor.

Three things we won't compromise on
Small is the point
Four students per tutor means everyone speaks, solves and explains — every single session.
Consistency builds trust
The same tutor, the same time, the same room. Students relax, and progress follows.
Honest updates
A note every Friday and a real review every term — including when the answer is “stop”.
